Welcome to the world of cross platform mobile apps

Your Company is thinking to build mobile applications to win customers in the Digital Age and as a Technical Architect you are assigned with this huge task on getting the job done as quick as possible and reuse most portions of your application code.As a Technical Leads or Architects, we are generally answerable to the following questions.Which framework to select to develop your first mobile application as part of Digital Transformation initiatives? How many developers to hire to build the mobile applications support teams? What happens to my existing team, how do I use their domain expertise while building mobile applications? What will be the learning curve involved for my team to complete this assignment? Will I be able to reuse my existing application code and how I can maintain the code base with a smaller number of changes for each feature? Will I be able to reuse my authentication providers? That is a lot to digest for a Web Application Architect.Welcome to the world of cross platform mobile applications. There are many cross-platform frameworks available today which helps developers to master mobile application development. Choosing the right framework depends on many factors and is a challenge to Architects. Even though if we choose the right framework, there are chances that we must redesign application components specific to mobile functionalities. Attendees will get complete information on the frameworks which are available as of today which allows code reuse and what factors which they need to consider which considering a framework.A demo will be shown where we convert a web application developed using Vue to a mobile application using NativeScript Vue.

This session will go through the basics of Graph QL and provide a brief overview of GraphQL and how it can be implemented to power your personal blogs or enterprise applications. Whether it is Gatsby or Gridsome both bring the benefits of GraphQL to your blog. As part of the talk we will spin up a blog using Gridsome and deploy it to Netlify. We all would like to have a beach view from our workplace or home, but trust me not all will be getting those. But you can get a different Vue. This session will focus on the fundamentals of VueJs and how we can develop web applications using VueJs and Vuex. So what is so cool about web applications, this thought would come to your mind. What if I tell that using the same concepts of Vue you can develop native mobile applications using NativeScript Vue. As part of the session we will go through all the gotchas that is required to develop Vue based mobile and web applications.

What I am doing wrong with Azure Functions

Server less is the current buzzword in IT applications. There has been increased adoption to server less technologies provided by major cloud providers. Azure Functions is an offering from Microsoft in Azure in the area of Function as a service (Faas). Azure Functions provide two billing modes mainly consumption model or app service model. This talk will go through the scenarios where we will explore the wrong ways of building applications using Azure Functions and how one can avoid these pitfalls and prevent them from heavy billing based on usage. The talk will also go over the different ways of testing Azure Functions and how one can use application insights to avoid the pitfalls.
